Ok so i’ve missed a few in between… Jaythan and I didn’t get the x-mas cards out, we all got phenomena, lost our luggage, drove all over this great nation meeting and greeting those we hold dear (and throwing in a few new ones) went to a wedding, partied and played with family, found solace in GA and at the end of the day, this is the only picture I could find!!

Yep you read that right! I am a 9-5, up and at-em, working woman, (well maybe not the “up and at-em” as I need some quiet time in the AM or the 9-5 as that is a really long day:) but the working part’s right!

I’ve been recruited to head up the rights and causes wing of a store here in Madison called “The Happy Bambino” They are a local children’s retail store that dabbles in teaching, classes, music appreciation, ect. They have a lactation consultant on hand, promote healthy natural happy moms, and I’m simply in love with their mantra of “combining resource, retail, and community” Noah and I have been long time advocates of this little community. It’s been such a rewarding experience already! So many new moms need help and guidance when they first bring their baby’s home and they get that hope from this store. Its like no other I’ve ever been to and I feel really lucky to be a part of this team and to see were this new experience will lead…

Noah and i have started a whole new tumbling class at a place specially geared for little people called… yep you guessed it, “the little gym.” We sing, we dance, we climb, and roll! it’s fantastic! Check out some of our mastered skills!

Thats right folks, our son, Noah Emmett Elam, took his first steps at 10:33am on November 2nd!! That being said, Jaythan and I are exhausted! He’s now tearing up the road walking everywhere he can get his little feet into! He’s on the MOVE! SO WATCH OUT!

Noah and i did our first photo-shoot! It was an experience I will never forget as grown women were reduced to babbling, face contorting, crazies trying to get him to pose and smile! He caught on quickly and began to flirt with every cooing face! The official pictures will be out on the Happy Bambino’s web site soon! these are some I took on my own to share with you guys until those are up!

we went to an impromptu soirée at Nick and Amy’s friday night, rounding out our dinnertime themes from cannonball run to mallrats (a very nice improvement!) We had a great time hanging out and getting caught up after the crazy 1/2 week following “the games”

The what games? the Olympic games? almost!! The worlds strongest man games? maybe… the ultimate woodsman games? NO!! THE DAVENPORT GAMES!

Well its that time again. Bare with us as I proceed to change the blog design over the next few days. I have been given a request by my love-ly wife that I combine my professional blog with our home blog in an attempt to unite these two wonderful literary experiences. So, in order to do this easily (but mostly because I want to change the design), I am reordering some things for the bette… I hope. You might experience some discomfort with this process. If you feel any burning or reddness you might want to consult a physician, however for all other symptoms just drink some wine and hang out because its going to be a bumpy ride!

Noah and i had an appointment today with a Pediatric Gastroenterologist.  His name was Dr. Michael Yaffe.  He looked Noah over, weighed him (noah’s put on 11 oz.) and declared that he is a healthy, happy, and highly active little boy!  he also remarked that he is one of the cutest babies he’s seen in quite some time!  and that our fear of an allergy to gluten is completely unconfounded!! it’s been a grrrrrrrrrreat day!!

I’m so sorry guys! I’ve started to really get into our days up here and it’s been so hard to find the time to detail it all on the blog! Things are going great! We just got back from the zoo! We walked around all day with buffalo and lions, rode the carousel in the children’s section and, even though Noah slept through it, went through the monkey and reptile houses!

We’ve been to 3 other b-day party’s with another teddy-bear party coming up next week! And swimming is finally starting to be a – good fun thing – instead of – that cold, wet, loud thing we make him do! He’s been successfully dunked! And while I think he’s still trying to figure out why we would want to submerge him, he’s trying to be a good sport about it! I’m posting all of our pics from the past couple of weeks so PLEASE feel free to check them out!

Our biggest focus right now is trying to get noah to put on the pounds! He’s pretty low on the overall scale so we’re eating, eating, eating! all the time!
