We celebrated Imagen’s birthday with lots of friends in attendance (as they say the common cold is made up of about 100 different germs and bugs they were all there to ring in the celebration with us!  She basked in the attention brought on by her pink tutu and “i am the birthday girl” tee shirt.  I had ideas of grandeur for this birthday but Ima just hasn’t taken to playing in the gym with friends or really feeling her groove in large crowds so our small family sang happy birthday and our little girl just beamed! It was wonderful!

We’ve just spent the morning at a princess brunch – the first of it’s kind for the elam girls.  It was so sweet to watch Ima dance and play with 30 other princesses all dressed in their best!

You heard it right!  We’re expecting our 3rd little Elam at the end of May! I’ll keep you updated as i get out of the sicky phase and into the happy belly phase!

What can I say, we go CRAZY for halloween! We love the hunt, the carving, the seeds, and absolutely love, love, love the parties!

The kids and i headed up to DC to “help” my mom after surgery.  I say help because it ended up being a much more therapeutic trip for me.  My 2 best girl friends were up from CA and TN and the weeks flew by with both kids (ok me too!) spoiled beyond belief.

Thanks mom and dad. Next stop… HAWAII!

Our journey began on a tricky note when we were informed the porta potty had not yet arrived… no one seemed to mind once we started picking

The firehouse could do nothing for 30 kiddos running around fighting and delighting at all there was to offer in the newly built and handsomely stocked firestaion.  We explored, crawled, cried, hit, honked, and rang in the exciting new station until we were escorted out, hat in hand, to a more appropriate venue; Parisi park!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Q!

Both Jaythan and myself were tow-heads as kids – in essence white headed little people growing into the world of brown.  Who says you ever have to grow up!

It was an awesomely perfect day for a party as we played in the sun.  Scott chased elliott and Noah around the playground forever, rob made quincy laugh so hard he couldn’t talk, and ima made a new friend in Eli.  Thanks for the good times today friends!

This past week we were afforded the opportunity to housesit for our 500sqft partner jyll.  I leapt at her offer as we were sooo struggling to get our ac online and team elam was starting to show some serious wear after 3 weeks of HEAT.  We watched her 3 kitties – with emily in tow – and were delighted to be cool, completely entertained with the cat/dog show, and totally pretended to be in a new city as we explored the wacky world on the east side!
