blizz-ard
I have never seen anything like the beating Wisconsin just took from this past winter storm.  Not only was it the first big snow of the season, but it was exquisit in its utter devestation to every walk of life!  Upon moving up here, my brother gave me an weather forecater for christmas having decided that if I was going to talk about the weather this much, i needed to know what the temps were inside-and out. But seriously, nature dominates up here.  The seasons are not just by-words but are a true force, halting all matter of activity. and yet, there is something so quiet and peaceful about our world covered in white.  It’s a new world, a fresh start, and until it gets all yucky from exhaust and melt, it’s just beautiful…

Noah captured Thanksgiving this year as he shot our family’s progression through our first celebratorial Thanksgiving!! We totally rocked the corn pudding and sweet potato casserole but fumbled the turkey as an extra hour in the oven did nothing to thaw him!  We ended up nibbling the outside and laughing at the fact that even the 6 calls to my mom couldn’t melt his heart and fix that crazy bird!! We ended the day driving around a christmas village and checking out all the lights.  Such a great holiday and so very much to be thankful for!

It has literally been a whirlwind of activity here since fall marked the opening season to our teams’ birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays.  Noah turned 3, Ima bounded into her first birthday and jaythan celebrated his catch up – always having been a sucker for older women:) as he hit the big 2-9!!

Coming into the home stretch i keep reminding myself to take a moment each day to cherish these fleeting memories.  Ima took her first steps last week.  Noah looked into the sky and stood for a full minute just to feel a snowflake land on his skin. So many opportunities to celebrate!
