LOV-ING music together! as the other mom’s parade around their babies, dancing and tapping their sticks together, i am reduced to laughing and pretending to tap as i have one of those babies that would just rather explore and hold them on his own.
what can i say, I’m completely in love! after-all, it’s that same mindset that had me falling in love with his daddy!
Yes, we had a fun filled play date! Oliver and Noah were reacquainted under the tantalizing play mat and enjoyed every minute of it!
OK kids, as a gift from our music class we all got a little photo album. It’s soft so Noah can chew on it and the pics are protected behind this little window. He is at the stage where he’ll recognize the people he sees in the pics. So, I’m asking you to send us a picture of you. 5/7, goofy, serious, whatever, just send it!
Noah and I have started a music class. Its basic premise is to entertain and encourage interaction for babies with different songs, beats, and instruments. I loved it!
i danced, i sang, i played the tambourine, the bells, I shook the eggbeaters and beat on the floor. Noah however, found Audrey. We shared a blanket and from the moment i put him down, he was staring at, playing with, flirting! (I know he’s 4 months but you should have seen him, smiling and giggling at her) the whole class. So my dancing, circling and noise making went unnoticed!
I didn’t get a chance to capture this unrequited love affair, i’ll post a pic next week!
I’ve been trying to write this post since christmas. it’s one of those topics that I just didn’t know how to approach. I thought about coming at it with a joke, “Yes, these two crazy kooks are Noah’s choice for life after mom and dad.” or did I want to be serious, “Jaythan and I feel that jason and Emily embody all that is important and right and want that instilled in our child” or considered it from Noah’s perspective, “I have decided that my uncle jason and my auntie em just get me and so I want them to be my god parents!” (But i thought that sounded a little too, “Look Who’s Talking”)
when it came down to it i realized exactly what i needed to say… thanks you guys we love you both and couldn’t be happier!
Jaythan and i carry on the tradition of fondueing it every new year. There’s is something rather comforting about dipping a whole bunch of food in a pot of cheese and knowing that somewhere out there, many others are doing the same.:)
